Met Bar reviews
I actually like the decor and the cocktails are delish BUT like the majority of the other reviewers, I'm not particularly impressed. On the few occasions that I've been there, the place was empty.
It's not that the atmosphere is bad, just nonexistent. Let's put it this way; if I never go there again, I won't feel as though I'm missing anything.

Had my birthday bash at Met Bar on Saturday night. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Kind of small, but then all top bars are small (apart from Carbon). Music was great, a very good mixture of house, hip hop/r'n'b and 80s club classics. Service was also great and the staff were very friendly. My guests and I had no problem getting in, and once inside were treated very well. Most importantly, everyone had a great time! Definitely going to go back.

Desperate to impress and be exclusive, even when empty. After blagging our way in by making up a name and room number and pretending to be staying at the hotel, found it boring and a great disappointment.

I can't believe this is still around. I went in 1997-1998 because my friends had VIP passes, and it was a laugh then. Madonna, Mick Hucknall (Simply Red) and Lighthouse Family were all there in those days and I spent a fantastic New Year's Eve (who wouldn't at £150 a ticket nearly a decade ago?!) But surely it's time to move on to newer venues now?

Well, I have to say I felt insulted. Who cares if I don't appear in Heat mag etc for sleeping with Z-listers! Get a grip people! Nice cocktails though.

Awful clientele - unless there is a good party - full of gold diggers and oldies. Lacked atmosphere.
