I usually find the ice on these 'portable' rinks very poor and usually very hard so the skates don't grip very well. Years since I was in Richmond, but suprised to find the Ice Rink there seems long gone. Spent hours skating there - the Arosa rink they had was excellent for practice and the ice perfect.

Was very disappointed. Ice was bumpy and not very well maintained.

Problems with puddles of water on the ice which are not swept off between sessions. Some sessions too crowded, numbers should be limited. More supervision of unruly youngsters needed.
