Went last year on 23/12 and it was brilliant, even though I'm a tragic ice skater. You get to meet a crowd of new people while you're swinging your arms and lunging for hand rails!

The place to see kids in mittens and gents in suits skating in circles - great to do and great to watch from the heated drinks tent. A must!

The photo above makes the ice rink look bigger than it is, but it's still a magical London experience. Take your family or partner and be reminded why you still love London even when it's the middle of winter.

I really look forward to this each year. It's not a huge ice rink and it can get rather slushy towards the end of the day, or when it rains. But it's great fun and very romantic, especially at night.
