Daphne's reviews
We had a booking online scheduled for 3pm. However, I called the day before to confirm, only to find out the kitchen closes at 3.00 but we were still able to get a reservation for two before closing.
I wasn't really impressed with the food. This place is a bit overrated and overpriced I think. Too little for a lot. The waiter got some of our order wrong even though he had repeated it at the table before putting it in.
Next time we will try somewhere else. After all, the visit was for a very special occasion.

Three of us (with service, £110 plus change) had no trouble getting a table in the early evening. Excellent food. Those at the neighbouring tables had the sleek look of the of-course-I'm-famous, although (travelling in as we had from deeply unfashionable Sarf Lunnon) we didn't recognise a one of them! The Ivy Group, I understand; well, we've been to
The Ivy and we've been to Daphne's, and we'll go back to Daphne's but not to
The Ivy. Rapport valeur: prix - pretty damned good.

Overrated, but overall not a bad place. Price is not too bad, food is okay, decor is a bit tacky. My pan-seared yellow fin tuna was average but the octopus starter was fantastic. I went there without a reservation and they were very accommodating. Service was great as well.

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever endured! Arrived at 9.30 for dinner, got first course at 11.15!! Manager called me "an overly demanding customer" when I complained at 11pm! Will never go there again... shame as the (overpriced) food was decent.

Terrible service by rude head-waitress who rushed our evening. Food overpriced.

Great food and fantastic atmosphere. Very difficult to get a table unless you know the head Maitre d' - Etienne. Always very helpful. Romantic - a must for trendy couples looking for that special restaurant.

Best £100 spent in a long time. Great wine, service, atmosphere. Food second to not that many. Great.
Overpriced? What does one expect? Ikea does a great meatballs and coffee for £3.50! Will go back!
