Polpo is a 'bacaro' (small Venetian-style restaurant) in an atmospheric, low-ceilinged, 18th century Soho building that, appropriately enough, is reputed to have once been the London home of Canaletto. The menu is a tapas-style selection of starter-sized dishes (duck with peppercorns and olives, pork belly with hazelnut and radicchio, mackerel tartare and cuttlefish with gremolata...) perfect for sharing and reasonably priced.
