Makiyaki reviews
Makiyaki, you are the BEST! Your staff are very friendly, your food tasty, fresh and good value for money.

A great variety of amazing sushi to satisfy the wussiest and bravest of palates. Always friendly service, and fantastic value compared to any other sushi restaurant I've been to in London. My friends and I cannot stop going back to this place!

Sorry to disagree but my friend and I ate here and were very disappointed. The sushi was so so and the skewers were very bland, my mushroom ones where just that, two mushroom heads with no sauce or marinade and I was charged about £3 for it.

Whether wanting comfort food, somewhere to celebrate, or just somewhere different to go, you can always guarantee that Makiyaki will provide good food, good service and a good atmosphere. Tuna & Garlic Salad is excellent, as are the Maki Rolls, and the Sashimi is to die for. But besides the food the service is excellent. I've been to Japan, tried Japanese restaurants in central London (expensive) and still rate Makiyaki as the best.

Went for the second time last night and it was just as good as the first. Lots of variety, staff are well mannered, and the food looks and tastes better than the pics in the menu. Go in a group of 4+ then you can pick & mix it up.

Very good. Good value for money and some interesting little dishes and variations you won't find elsewhere. Have only ever been to one better Japanese restaurant which was almost twice the price of Makiyaki. I don't go anywhere else but here now.

Superb restaurant and attentive service. Probably best quality sushi in South London. Prices are a little on the high side.

The sushi was not fresh as one would expect from a Japanese restaurant. We had difficulty communicating with the waitress which was a shame. In fact, not a great experience.
