Pretty Pregnant reviews

I love this shop! I was so fed up of feeling and looking frumpy, when I found this gem. The clothes are fantastic and the staff so helpful, it was a real treat. So difficult at this time of my life to just go out and shop, but Pretty Pregnant turned out to be a real life-saver. I heard they are opening in central London in May 2008. Definitely worth the trip!

I agree with review number 1. Appalling shop. Substandard goods (pilled on first wearing). They would not refund, but could not exchange owing to lack of stock. They offer a credit note, which is no good to me. Very poor service and a stressful experience - not great for a pregnant woman!

I wouldn't normally write anything on a website like this, but as there seems to be an unhelpful tie between the previous two commentators, I thought I'd add my little piece very much in favour of Pretty Pregnant!

My experience has been absolutely wonderful: the clothes are fabulous, the service fantastic and the shop is a pleasure to be in. Can't wait to be pregnant again! I can only guess that the negative comment below doesn't tell us the whole story...

I'm surprised by the previous comment, as I found this store great. I'm 7 months pregnant and found this to be the only place that stocks really nice clothes for everyday and work. It's true that they don't do refunds, only exchanges or credit notes, but to be honest I really didn't need one as I was so happy with the clothes. The staff are great and really helpful, and it's one of only a few places in London where I have found a combination of great service and fantastic maternity wear.

I would not go near this shop. They do have some quite nice stuff. However, I recently bought a pair of jeans from them for £185 (as I am tall, this is all they could offer for my height). I subsequently went home and tried them on again. When walking upstairs they dropped down and when I sat down my bottom literally hung out the back. I called them and returned to the store within a week, accompanied by my husband who'd kindly bought the jeans for me and they needed his credit card. I was then told that they would not give me a refund - even though this is not stated on the receipt and if I had ordered them online this would have been offered. It has been a very unpleasant and stressful experience. I would avoid this shop with its high prices!
