Cobden Club reviews
I was a guest of a party of 16 accommodated in their private room. The food was excellent, the staff were very attentive and always had a smile. In general a great place to party.

Food is pretty bad, for the price. Architecturally it is a very nice place, but lacks atmosphere. It could be greatly improved and become an excellent club.

Had my 30th party here and it went down a storm. Staff were absolutely fabulous, canapes were great, music was awesome. All in all a superb evening.

Love the place, esp the cocktails and the food is really good now. Music is up and down and the decor is not as good as it should be (IMHO) - esp the ground floor. Surfaces too hard creating a cold feel and doing no favours for the sound! Staff are great and the bar manager has really turned this place around. Still my first choice for a party.

There has been a great improvement in the restaurant over the last six months both in food and service. Bar still as good as ever.

Recently refurbished and looking excellent. Cocktails top notch and at the weekend the place has been nothing but excellent. Proud to say have just become a member.

Massively impressed with everything the Cobden has to offer. The only down side is the slight Versace decor on the 2nd floor.

Visited the Cobden on Saturday night, April 30 and had a great time. The restaurant was quiet but the cocktail lounge was very busy and there was a great party happening in the Grand Hall with some excellent DJ's. Everyone was dressed in white!
Cocktails were amazing and the staff friendly. Really enjoyed myself.

Have been a member since 1998 and the Cobden was beginning to go downhill (not helped by way too much of a banking/eurotrash vibe), but under the excellent guidance of the management (special mention to Guy is deserved), they've just had a total refurbishment - and the results are impressive.
There is a new ground floor bar/private room that is pretty big and looks like it would be great for a party for about 100 people. When I was last in, they were still putting the finishing touches to it, but looks promising.
The first floor bar has been completely updated (in my view a good thing), and as a result has lost a little bit of it's "clubbable" (i.e. gentleman's club) feel, but looks a lot sharper now.
The ballroom on the second floor is still (IMHO) one of the best spaces in London - and gets absolutely rammed on Saturday nights (with quite a few very hot chicks, which can't be a bad thing), thanks to the excellent DJs. Speaking of which, the 4Sticks new bands showcase nights on Monday and Tuesdays are cool - lots of industry people (and very cute chicks) there and worth a look.
The staff are really friendly now (believe me, that wasn't always the case), with the exception of one of the doorman, who is a sarcastic, slightly miserable so-and-so (the older black dude with the greying hair).
One major negative: the food (and service) is still way too patchy. One night it will be awesome, another dreadful. They really need to sort this bit out, but for £65/quarter it's all good.
