Kingly Club

4 Kingly Court
Soho, London
W1B 5PW
Tel: 020 7287 9100

As the "Pinstripe Club" this bar was closed down nearly 40 years ago after Christine Keeler met John Profumo here, but it's now even sexier and serves much better cocktails.

Kingly Club reviews

This is the worst place ever - do not go there! The foreign door staff are arrogant, the managers think they are god's gift, and the waitresses hassle you into giving them large tips. It is also very pretentious and full of fakes. Honestly, give this one a miss!

A cramped, overrated club frequented by people with no class or style. Avoid!

The Kingly Club is where all the beautiful people in London must go. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The atmosphere is calm whilst still being exciting. Go there for a touch of class. And yes, you can get a drink without breaking the bank!

One of the nicest little clubs I have been to. Atmosphere good, crowd normal. Places to sit, talk and drink. Music kept a reasonable level. Very nice indeed.

Got into the club via an offer by the very nice doorman. The club is small but perfectly formed. The crowd are a mixture of rich chic-types and a few over-enthusiastic youngsters. The music was fantastic and the staff were really polite. Shame I had to leave early but even then, the doorman made sure that I got a cab safely, which made me feel like I wanted to go back next time I'm in town.

Stunning decor, polite, attentive stunning looking staff. Complimentary cocktails, expertly mixed. An excellent pre-club venue for a discerning clientele.

Kingly Club should not be called a members club. It is a quite dying venue these days. Which is quite understandable since there are so many more interesting and more upscale places in London.

They recently got a new bouncer who put quite a bad shadow on the whole club. Quite offensive at the door. Cocktails inside are just not the same as they used to be and the most important thing - the people are not the same - the chic crowd who used to come here is just not here any longer.

I had a fabulous time at the Kingly Club. The staff are lovely and really take care of you, plus I didn't think that drinks were that bad really - £12 including service charge. I had the most delicious cocktail I've ever had, but unfortunately I've forgotten the name other than that it had red in it! It's definitely worth getting yourself on the guestlist here with a few friends for a chilled evening out, good service, excellent drinks and a cool atmosphere.

I only came across a couple of wannabes (with far too much money for their own good), but found everyone else to be very courteous. I do admit that we didn't talk to anyone outside of our group very much though... this may be more of a place to go with a group of friends.

Too cool for school bar. Music and staff are very good. Place is small. But unfortunately, worst aspect is the clientele who are up themselves, credit-up, cold wannabes. Fun to be had elsewhere...

Members only but celebs get in free. Very expensive £1000 champagne bottle. You're not welcome unless you spend £250+ per head. Very small; so-so music; cheap everything: DJ, booze, hopeless food; often out of stock of booze.

Actually not too popular so get in on a guest list rather than join at £1000 p.a. Guest lists are available at sponsoring ticket agents all over London & can be free.

Cocktails are among the best in town and service is excellent. The menu must be one of the best in the bar industry!

Impressive design, near perfect cocktails and very attentive service, but it's a rather small bar so not ideal for large groups. I'm not a member, but got in by calling in advance. I expect the members-only rule will take effect when enough people have joined, which is a shame as I'd certainly return as a non-member.
