M1NT reviews
I was at M1NT a week ago with 2 friends. We were staying at the Cavendish Hotel and had a pass for it. We arrived just before it opened and the owner didn't look too sure about letting us in. However, dressed as we were in tiny dresses and catsuits, he soon made way. It was pretty empty but the decor was lovely, music great and the barman a great laugh. They bought us a round of cocktails (mind you, they did want our hotel room no!). Left after a few to go to Embassy, but wish we had just stayed there!
by imair, 10 Dec 2007This has to be the worst and most degrading nightclub in London, run by a bunch of scumbags. Girls be warned!
by Sarah05, 03 Dec 2007Oh My God! I've just discovered the WORST club in London. You'd have to work very hard to beat this one. I had my drink snatched by a slimy Middle Eastern man (apparently it was his excuse for wanting to buy me another), and the perfume lady in the toilet had issues handing out more than one paper towel per customer. A total waste of £15 cover charge, £9.50 cocktail... In a nutshell, bad music, bad attitude and terrible crowd. I spent a record 22 minutes in this club and am never going back! My advice? Fork out another £5 cover charge and head to Pangea, Chinawhite or Maddox.
by Partygirl, 10 Sep 2007The place is a little small, but that works to its advantage, making for a better atmosphere as it is a little more exclusive then most places around it. The new night in London on Wednesdays is air @ m1nt - was the best night out I'd had in while last time I went, plus cocktails are killer!
by sunseasand101, 06 Aug 2007100% agree with the below. I love Wednesdays there since 'Air' came in. There's been a BIG difference - lovely crowds and no hookers.
by guilo1982, 23 Jul 2007Wednesdays are absolutely amazing there. A new promoter, AIR, has turned it around. Smiley faces, no pretentiousness and generally a great atmosphere, celebrities and good times.
by 2commas, 14 Jul 2007First time at M1NT. Must have gone on the wrong night - went on a Wednesday and it was relatively empty. Drinks were OK (although there is a £20 min on cards - annoying if you are a couple and don't want to open a tab), music pretty mainstream (hasn't changed that much since it was Studio 57). However, crowd was a bit more mature than at other clubs, and enjoyable. Missed out on the hookers and old men as alluded to below. The rating is a bit of benefit of doubt... Will try it again, but next time on a weekend.
by Anonymous, 22 Nov 2006Cool place. The music was great and the cocktails are to die for-a must on a Saturday night
by scott28, 16 May 2006We had a really great night at M1NT. I was dubious before we got there having heard mixed reviews but as soon as we arrived we were ushered to our table by the Maitre d' who had pre-arranged our champagne. Very cool party crowd, excellent music.
by Choo Choo, 12 May 2006Went there with a very large group of friends. Very posh older crowd, so-so music. The decor is amazing and the VIP seating is great. Unfortunately the place is very small though, and the service the worst and slowest I've encountered in any club. (Halfway through the night I was walking to the bar begging for clean glasses and refilling my own ice!)... Good for a drink or two before heading to another club.
by Bachrach "top london reviewer" (19 reviews), 17 Feb 2006Worst bar I've ever been to in London. Full of old men and boring yuppies, not to mention the Russian hookers they attract. Music was godawful!
by Anonymous, 03 Feb 2006This place is truly awful, not to mention terribly dull. Even the very idea of an 'investors' club was enough to raise one eyebrow, but getting there I was appalled. Please do not waste your daddy's money on this, he won't be happy. Go along to Tramps instead - much more fun and no investors.
