Teatro reviews
Having read the reviews below, I find it difficult to believe that they are talking about Teatro 'today'. I was invited by a friend of mine for a quiz night there. Not normally my thing, but it was really good fun - cool, interesting and really funny. We paid £3 each to enter this quiz and the winner took all proceeds. Unfortunately it wasn't us, but I can honestly say it was grown up fun.

Ridiculous door policies - impossible for guys to get in without a girl. Patronising door staff with the biggest attitude problem.

I completely agree with the last review. We had the skankiest of scouts begging us to go in. When we got inside, there were about 5 others there, this on a Friday night. However, the club has nice decor, plenty of seats and good prices for drinks. Bring your own party there!

Oh my God... there is no way this was a members' club!? They had scouts out in Soho begging people to come in. We had heard of it, so we decided to give it a try. We were the only people in there - literally. Half of it was closed and the atmosphere was totally dead. I truly cannot believe anyone would like this place enough to get a membership!

Funky place to hang out. We eventually got into the members' bar via a friend of ours and had a great laugh. Couple of footballers and TV pundits were there as well. Cocktails were OK, if a little pricey.

We went on a tuesday night to the Cabaret Room and bar at the back. There were about 50 people and 4 different acts. Some were average but the Shoo Shoo Babies were excellent value and a good act. Pity they are not on there every week. The pianist guy who comperes is a bit drippy, but I guess you can't have everything. He can play quite a good piano... Would recommend it for dinner and entertainment any Tuesday.

We went a couple of times on a Friday, which is their Soul-inspired night. Great music and some hot dancers. The secret is to chat up a member and then join the members' list. You can bring in up to 4 friends ANY night for free. They have different events on through the week, so it's an ace place to hang out in Soho.

Great night out. Went with 12 friends. We booked in advance and had no hassles, just a fun night. We'd definitely go again. Would recommend always booking in advance with the club directly.

Bad staff. Bad door policies... Threatening guest listed guest with calling the police is insulting and unprofessional.

Went there with a large group of friends for a birthday do. Would not go there again. Strict entry policy, rude staff. One guy too many, you get refused entry. The worst thing about the night is some of my group went in, and some were refused. Very upsetting for everyone.

Went on a Friday night to their Cookies 'N' Cream night. Good music, expensive drinks, slightly scruffy crowd for a members' club. Had a good time but not sure I'd go back in a hurry.

I booked a table for a night called Custard. This was the best Saturday night I have had in London. Music, food and crowd were all good. We had too much to drink and felt able to laugh and dance in this very cool members' club. Definitely going back.

Fantastic. Such a good vibe - like the cool parts of New York, but without the evil 'Ghostbusters II' mood-slime underneath.

Best night I have had out in London for ages! Drinks are a bit pricey, but the vibe, the music, the staff and the decor were top notch and well worth it!

Enjoyed our dinner here - I didn't think the food was fantastic but it was capable and the service was attentive. Best thing was, I had a good laugh with friends and the atmosphere was great.

Really disappointing, the girl on reception was extremely rude, the food took forever to arrive and when it finally did arrive it was cold and had to be sent back. And unfortunately the members there that night were loud obnoxious and very drunk, not an experience I would ever want to repeat!

Just had a wonderful evening at Teatro. The service was ok but the food was fantastic. I had honey-glazed quail for a starter - it was such a tease. I followed it with a sea bream served with baby fennel and a wonderful sauce.
I recommend it to anyone who loves food and wants a good night out.
