Austin's Grooming and Beauty Salon reviews
These previous reviews are almost 2 years old. So here's an update; time has moved on. This place is pretty sterile. The service is limited at best and the haircut I endured was dreadful. I mean, it's hard to mess up a short back and sides. But they managed. So bad, I had to keep asking for bits to be recut to correct it. Like anywhere, who you get is luck of the draw. But the decor is faded and just felt lifeless. It's not somewhere I felt comfortable or relaxed and pretty much anyone browsing in the store can see you with a towel on your head. When there are so many places to go in London or even the West End, I'd recommend you try elsewhere.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience and, most importantly, a GREAT shave too! All round, the customer service was very good and Billy was an excellent barber. He knew it was my first shave from a barber, so he took time to explain what he was doing and why, so making the experience educational as well as relaxing and fun. I've even been shaving better myself since then, due to his instruction.

I found this hair salon one day via an advertisement on a board outside Austin Reed. I just thought they did clothes for your grandma and grandpa and suits for professionals. However, after looking at their salon and having my hair cut, I was most pleased. Ask for Billy if you go, he was great, especially as I hate chatting to hairdressers (it worries me they might get too excited and mess my hair up). Billy was actually only talkative when I wanted to be, not because he had to or wanted a tip!

My friend and I had the best treatments ever. The girls were absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be revisiting!
