Noura Central reviews
I'm so impressed by this restaurant. Everything is so elegant. Can't believe we share the same name!
by noura, 02 Aug 2007Booked this place for my vegetarian friend on the strength of its Time Out best vegetarian meal award. It slightly misfired for us, from the somewhat tacky exterior and location next to a Pizza Hut, to the rather over-formal style and strange nibbles (half a raw lettuce?).
The mezze were tasty, but NOT cheap, and my friend hated her mousakka main course. However, the Lebanese house white wine was good and the service attentive.
A simpler, smaller format with less formality would suit it better we felt. Though it was a Saturday, the place was pretty empty. Disappointing overall.
I took my friend for her birthday and the food was great. Although the portions are tapas size, there's plenty of delicious food. The service is a bit erratic.
