Angela Hartnett's Menu reviews
Every course of the meal was excellent and the service was extremely attentive without being obsequious. A delightful evening which I would recommend to others. We were with an American couple and The Connaught is a hotel to be proud of.
by the jones', 25 Jan 2007We have been to most of the Ramsay restaurants, which have all been outstanding, so we had high hopes for this one. However, the food was generally disappointing and was not worth even close to the average £100 per head with wine that it cost us. It really let the group down.
Its only saving grace was the staff who were superb and made my mother feel very special on what was a rare night out in London for her.
We will not be returning and I would not recommend it. Try the other Ramsay restaurants instead.
A great foodie experience. Lovely extras - the wonderful bread, gorgeous thumb scoops of ice cream/sorbets for dessert. Friendly and attentive service (the sommelier will be hugely helpful guiding you around the wine list). Well worth the money for that special occasion.
by Pesci13 (2 reviews), 15 Nov 2006The food and service were amazing. The bread alone makes it worth a second visit.
by Anonymous, 06 Nov 2006Went for dinner with friends. Because they used to be regulars, we chose the Connaught. Big mistake. We all complained about the salty food - it was terrible. We asked for a change but by the time we were attended to and interrogated we had lost interest. Won't be going again.
by KenJ., 14 Feb 2006Kind of stuffy and formal. The food was good, although not memorable, but the service was excellent.
by Anonymous, 22 Oct 2005Went for a birthday meal and the food was dire. Go to any others in the Ramsay chain and you'll receive excellent food and service - do not waste your money here.
by Disgruntled, 07 Oct 2005Good for entertaining clients. Excellent service, food was very good though a bit unimaginative.
