Took 17 staff for Christmas lunch - not impressed. Bar staff downstairs were very slow and could not remember the simplest of orders. Champagne glasses were dirty.

Being told to wait when asking for some more of our wine to be served shows bad teaching, lack of manners and/or too few staff. Food was OK, but all want to return to old haunts next year. Could have spent £2k much better.

I have just been for a Halloween drink at Circus bar - what a nightmare! Drinks were good and bar staff were attentive, but once the DJ starts forget any chance of talking to your companion. For a bar this isn't so great. After several attempts to get the bar staff to turn down the music we left wanting more drinks but not being able to stomach the noise.

Also randomly wandered past and was enticed by their pre-theatre menu but couldn't resist going a la carte. Had a glass of champagne in the sumptuous downstairs bar beforehand - very comfortable seating (small leather sofas) and surprisingly airy at basement level.

Sadly this only left time for a main course and glass of wine before rushing to the theatre. Charming and attentive staff, my choice of halibut was beautifully cooked and well presented an onion mash. My colleague's Thai Chicken Curry was also hit. Look forward to a return visit, possibly post theatre to check out the atmosphere and to sample the puddings!

Randomly wandered past and was drawn in by the "half price dinner in August" promotion. Friendly, unobtrusive service, good food, decent wine selection and well paced - not rushed through, but not left waiting for our food. I've read some mixed reviews, but my only real criticism is the lack of atmosphere - very much a big white room full of tables. Didn't try the bar downstairs, but it looked ok.

One of the best choices in Soho for good food without going over the top into fine-dining territory. Fills up with the nicer end of the 'media type' spectrum on Friday nights. Great bar downstairs as well.
