High Road Brasserie reviews
The atmosphere and service were great, but the ribeye and sirloin steaks we ordered were utterly tasteless. As the steaks are a big part of their menu, I think they really need to up their game judging by last night's offering.

The chips tasted horrible and smelled strongly of overcooked oil which I can only assume has not been changed in a month. My friend's steak was basically a big piece of fat creatively concealed under a tasteless green sauce, so bad that she had to turn it back. Meanwhile we figured that we should have brought a magnifying glass with us to lunch so as to identify the miniscule shrimps which supposedly came with the cod.
This place is a joke! Unacceptable food and ridiculous prices! Definite no-go!!

Went yesterday lunchtime and had a fabulous meal. Attentive service, good food and lovely ambiance. Could not fault it.

Went for dinner on Wednesday night. Food was rubbish and had to sit outside next to a couple and their basset hound! What the hell is that all about? Overrated, over here in Chiswick and overpriced. Give this a miss!

This place is a joke! Went there on a Thursday evening and had one of our worst experiences in many years!
Bottom line: Very poor service, very poor food at a very serious price.
Details: Lobsters no good, veal a la Milanese tasteless, noodles over-salted, starters less than average, wine recommendations a joke. Service was ridiculous - waitress filling up glasses, already half full, with white wine and trying to sell us the next bottle although we had not even started drinking.
Paid a lovely £180 for a VERY disappointing experience. Do yourself a favour and just do not go there.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, food and wine great. Have fitted us in at the last minute on two occasions now.
Oh, and I love the floor tiles!

Had brunch here. Lovely food, and staff were very nice despite it being very busy. Will go again!

Fabulous food, great service. I am very fussy and they did everything possible to accommodate me without making it seem like a chore. Atmosphere great even though we were not on a great table. Another fine example that Nick Jones really knows his stuff.

Becoming a victim of its own success. A busy Thursday night dinner included a cupboard key in my friend's mussels - a first for all of us - and a very average skirt steak and chips. I won't be going back.

Very slow service. Some of the waiting staff are not too bright! Last time we went for breakfast and waited 40 minutes for the food. When it came it was lovely but unacceptably slow for the high price.
