Hush reviews
Service was good, but the food was average, considering the price. Shame, as I was really looking forward to it. A great outdoor dining experience though.
by Moo Moo "top london reviewer" (24 reviews), 10 May 2008Too expensive for a very average meal. They also include a 'leukemia donation' to your bill without even asking you. I suppose that makes them a 'registered charity' so they pay less tax?! Very disappointing.
by mina, 19 Mar 2008Food was lovely, location is fab, wine tastes good - can't complain. Had a fab day at Hush and would strongly recommend it.
by nutter2, 11 Jul 2007Great location but food forgettable and overpriced. Have a drink but eat somewhere else!
by missfine "top london reviewer" (25 reviews), 19 Jun 2007Great service, great atmosphere. Food very good, but a little overpriced. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for.
by Sheryl, 19 Dec 2006Good venue, but the compulsory set menu for larger groups is designed with a mean budget and a good profit in mind. Food is well presented, but ultimately lacking in aroma and flavour. Sadly they're well beaten by most pubs and supermarket ready meals.
Most overpriced food I've been served, made more annoying by seeing some of the a la carte dishes served at adjacent tables.
Service? Lets just say they slopped water into our wine glasses and didn't replace them... in a word RUDE!
Great service, lovely food and we had a brilliant time. Staff very obliging. The confit of duck was melt-in-the-mouth. Fab.
by Magelin, 19 Nov 2005Food is easily forgettable, but I go here often because it's so conveniently located. Really nice in the summer if you can get a spot outside. Don't let the staff give you a hard time.
by Anonymous, 22 Oct 2005Excellent service, great staff, very good food, enjoyed it and would go back again and again.
by guru, 23 Sep 2005The upstairs restaurant serves excellent French food, with an interesting wine list - which if you eat on a Monday is sold at their wine-shop prices - fantastic value.
by Aura (4 reviews), 19 Sep 2005The food in the upstairs restaurant at Hush is excellent and it's often not too difficult to book at short notice. Very good wine list too. Only eaten once downstairs and it was ok, but not outstanding.
by Antonia W11 (8 reviews), 26 Aug 2005Great find. Food brilliant, service very slick, fab cocktails too. Good value £30p/h for dinner.
by lucky, 27 Jun 2005The food here was superb, as was the design. The atmosphere and attentiveness of the staff were excellent. The desserts didn't quite match the quality of the main courses, but were nonetheless very good. All in all a fantastic option if you're not on a budget.
by bluejamie, 23 Jun 2005£48 for two burgers and chips!! The piggish little Spanish greeter was hilariously inappropriate. I live in Mayfair and this has to be the most appalling restaurant, no wonder its called Hush - they don't want anyone to know just how low rent this place is!
by Anonymous, 11 Jun 2005So overpriced with very poor service. Just avoid - one of the worst experiences in London.
by Anonymous, 23 Mar 2005The upstairs restaurant surprised me with their food - amazing flavours. Shame that the bar is always packed. But very nice place for a lunch in the summer if you can get a brasserie table outside in the courtyard.
