Kitchen W8, just off Kensington High Street, pitches itself as a friendly local neighbourhood restaurant. Friendly it certainly is but, to be truthful, the food errs more toward fine dining than hearty homely fare. Due, no doubt, to the influence of co-founder Philip Howard, celebrated chef at 2 Michelin starred The Square in Mayfair.
