Orrery reviews
Excellent. Service impeccable. Balance of flavours in the food possibly a little off, but certainly a fabulous meal by any standard. Wine recommended by the sommelier was excellent and, refreshingly, not particularly expensive. As described below, not particularly trendy, but a beautiful location and a generally relaxed and welcoming ambience. Reasonably priced menu as well, for the standard of food.

What has happened here? A party of 6 on 27th July: all of us thought the meal was dreadful. Hard-sell on a glass of champagne as we sat down, thin pea velouté with a hard boiled egg, taste-free crab salad, over-cooked fish, tasteless risotto like porridge in the dish, and a bottle of wine on the bill we had not ordered. Too much to complain about at the time... This is not the same place that it was.

Food here is always good and service is excellent, charming without being intrusive. Not exactly trendy, but doesn't matter when the food is this good.

I find it impossible to imagine that I could ever find anywhere to top the food and service of the exceptional Orrery in London. Thank you.
