I had lunch with 3 colleagues on Friday @£55 a head plus £250 worth of drinks. A £10 surcharge for Dover Sole is both laughable and inappropriate.
Also when I asked for a small plate so that I could sample some of my colleague's cheese, the snotty waitress suggested that I would be liable to a surcharge!
One is paying for the name and the atmosphere, both of which were horribly spoiled by this experience--we will not be returning.
