The Savoy Grill reviews
I visited The Savoy Grill after two years and am glad to say that things are still top notch. Keep up the good work.
by Peter Somner, 20 Jan 2007I had lunch with 3 colleagues on Friday @£55 a head plus £250 worth of drinks. A £10 surcharge for Dover Sole is both laughable and inappropriate.
Also when I asked for a small plate so that I could sample some of my colleague's cheese, the snotty waitress suggested that I would be liable to a surcharge!
One is paying for the name and the atmosphere, both of which were horribly spoiled by this experience--we will not be returning.
Have we missed a great restaurant in London? Let us know.
