Skylon reviews
While the food here is good and reasonably priced (although the decor is a bit avocado bathroom suite), the staff are a bit crap.
I had a business lunch there last week and called for a copy of a VAT receipt a number of times. When I wasn't spoken to in a yawningly snobby fashion on the telephone, I was palmed off and forgotten about.
Have lost count of the times I've been told my fax or email was 'just coming'. Two other restaurants I asked sent me a receipt within an hour. What's Skylon's problem? Is reading and faxing so terribly, terribly hard?

Been there twice now. Service couldn't have been better. Food was great - the comment below regarding the limited choice is fair, but it does change. Price better than I expected for Central London, and you are renting a great view.

That's strange, because when I went there the service was absolutely impeccable - the best thing about the restaurant! Food was also delicious and, of course, the view's great. It is expensive, but what you'd expect! Only thing I would say is, the menu is very limited so you couldn't go back there too often.

This restaurant was atrocious. The Manager was arguing with staff in the middle of the restaurant floor, and we had to ask to be served twice (after waiting nearly 30 minutes at lunch time!). Even when we made a comment upon leaving, the waitress at the counter was ambivalent, and basically shrugged her shoulders at us! The waiting staff evidently knew that the service that their customers received was below sub-standard, as they even took off the standard service charge! They need to do a lot of work to get this restaurant up to an acceptable standard. It is a pity, as the food was actually quite good.
