Absolutely fabulous food, thanks to Izu and brigade. Drinks, service and everything was wonderful. Definitely will be telling everyone about it. Well done!
by caroline lockett, 22 Feb 2008Vanilla has amazing food, and a beautiful atmosphere. The interior in the lounge bar is all white, sleek and sophisticated. Tables are private and hidden behind beautiful white drapes, each with its own chandelier - the ideal place for a romantic first date. The restaurant and food are also superb and the value fantastic. Vanilla is definitely the place to go for top London food.
by astridkubric, 09 Feb 2008Felt very special the minute I stepped into the restaurant. Staff were extremely friendly. Food was simply out of this world! Chef has Michelin background and his food is just exquisite. I had scallops with black pudding to start with, and these two ingredients were a match made in heaven. Our rare beef was divine too. Finished with chocolate fondant and cheese selection. Highly recommend it for that extra special occassion. Absolute bargain for a meal of this class!
by hannahhawkey, 08 Feb 2008I thought it would be a bit clinical becuause of the fact that everything is white, but it's surprisingly nice. The restaurant is private and cosy and the bar area is cool, although the ambience is a bit dry. If you are looking for somwhere to go after work to have a drink and a chat then you should try it. Also the bar menu is still very cheap - squid for £4! Very nice!
