A wonderful museum, free of charge, with a great little restaurant/cafe serving healthy, delicious food. Even on a Sunday afternoon it did not feel crowded, so it was nice to spend as much time as I wanted looking at the different interiors. It's a great way to learn about the history of British interiors, and there's a good bookshop with a selection of books on interior design.

This is such a nice place to visit. Displaying the history of British interior design from around 1600, the museum has separate rooms which are decorated and furnished appropriate to that time (either that century or, as the rooms get into the 20th century, that decade).
They also have temporary exhibitions and there is a lovely garden and a nice restaurant.
Visiting the Geffrye Museum is one of my favourite days out in London.
