Free to enter, this family-friendly museum hosts seven permanent exhibitions that delve into the city's history from pre-historic times until the late 19th Century. Special exhibitions are changed regularly and have included: Queer is Here - an exhibition about the lesbian, gay and transgender community in London, Women Talk - an exhibition on the changing lives of women, and Mind's Eye - an exhibit of paintings by inmates of Wandsworth prison.
