I have visited here a few times on my own or with other Londoners but recently decided to take some old school friends who were visiting from up north. It was the perfect day trip - breathtaking beauty, awe-inspiring history and something for every taste. The scones in the cafe are divine and the book shop is an attraction in itself. A must visit place for everyone.
