The Natural Kitchen reviews
As a visitor to London, I was thrilled to find the Natural Kitchen. Is this company planning to expand outside London? The country needs more stores like this to free the high streets from mediocre food chains. Excellent choice of fresh and dry goods. Good service.

This has become a firm favourite! My boyfriend and I discovered The Natural Kitchen a while ago, and keep coming back for a weekend brunch. The cafe upstairs does breakfast till 11am, then the full menu kicks in. As we get there about this time, we can have the best of both worlds!
The ham and Emmental crossaint is delicious (and large enough to keep you going all day), and pancakes are as good as the best I've had Stateside. All in all, a pretty full breakfast range, but I personally tend towards the lunch offerings.
On the fixed menu, the mozzarella and vegetable panini and goats cheese tart (both come with generous side salad) are well worth a mention. But I think it's the specials where this place really comes into its own. They tend to use what's in season so, ingredients-wise, you are getting the best of what's out there. The risotto with loads of rocket on top is sublime, and even my boyfriend enjoyed the vegetarian lasagne (he ordered it thinking it was beef!).
I have to say, my favourite is the fishcakes. What's even better is that they are often stocked in the 'food to go' counter downstairs, so you can also buy them to take home and stick in the oven. We often peruse the shop downstairs after brunch. The butcher's is brilliant. They really know their stuff, and do lovely fat chickens which work well for a Sunday roast. Downstairs used to be a bit disappointing - lots of empty space, with not much in it. In recent weeks however, this has been re-done as a wine cellar, with some interesting varieties.
All in all, highly recommeded!

Just have to recommend this place! The staff are so friendly & the food absolutely super (all home made) and very heatlhy. Love the big wooden tables & the rustic feel... and the chocolate cake has quickly become one of my guilty pleasures.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Service was very poor, with a very grumpy waiter (male, goatee beard). We decided to stay, although he was so rude to a family of five that came in after us that they left.
The food was very mediocre, especially for the price. I had the sausage & scrambled egg panini and my friend had the eggs florentine - neither of us enjoyed our food.
The shop downstairs looked nice but we definitely won't be back to the restaurant.
