I've always quite liked Miller Harris for the odd expensive treat, but called in there a couple of weeks ago to find it's become part tea room. It's really quite strange and feels like they're just trying to trade on their name. Didn't like it at all, and it seemed I'm not the only one - I was the only one in there and the cakes looked like they were drying out. Service generally a bit 'off'. It certainly didn't make me want to buy any perfume. It's always sad when a place goes down hill.

Haven't had a chance to sample most fragrances, but a bottle of L'Air de Rien (created for Jane Birkin) always makes for a well received gift.

I went there at Christmas to choose my present from my husband to me, and the shop assistant was both friendly and patient. I love my perfume and matching shower gel, and it's nice to have a different perfume that not everyone else is wearing. And if you're feeling rich and have £6000 to spare, Lyn will create your very own perfume for you, but you'll have to wait 6 months for it! I'm quite happy with my off-the-shelf Tangerine Vert...

One of the most elegant perfumeries - classy, sophisticated, an absolute treat!

Decor in the shop is better than the scents, which I found to be overrated. Citron Citron was the worst and frankly, it smelt of loo cleaner.
Noix de Tuberose was the most interesting but not outstanding or enticing enough to actually own! And its description is moronic! "This eau de parfum has been created by Lyn so that the fragrance is produced at its ideal strength. " - Does this mean that the other Miller Harris perfumes aren't created by Lyn? Does it mean that all the fragrances aren't at ideal strength! One would assume...

Nice shop but service was pretty impersonal and, as someone who works in the industry, not very well informed.
I have been a fan, but as the business has grown. I feel it has lost touch with what made it in the first place. Decent products, if simplistic, but you can find better nowadays without too much trouble.

I read a lot of very positive comments about Miller Harris perfumes, but was actually unimpressed by their selection. The majority smell unoriginal - their 'Citron Citron' was just that and nothing else!

Beautiful perfumes for anyone who wants to smell different. The scents are fresh, expensive-smelling and unique. I love Miller Harris.

This is an oasis with fantastic staff who really know their stuff and help to conjure up fields of lavender in Provence and exotic fruits from the Caribbean when they describe the different perfumes on sale. If you want something which is fairly unique and can't be bought at every duty free shops in the world, then try here (who wants anyone else to smell like you do?).

I used to live very close to the Needham Road store and adore it. Bruton street feels slighty less intimate, but still purveys the beauty of Miller Harris - and as always very friendly staff.

Very impressed by the new shop in Mayfair, the new fig fragrance they have is out of this world! Definitely worth visiting when in London.

Having read so much about Miller Harris I was disappointed by the perfumes - the dry-down on the 3 scents I tried was not impressive. The shop looks nice but the range is boring.

Have yet to visit the new Mayfair location; been to the Notting Hill store many times - absolutely out of this world - & one of the few stores that is generous with samples if one makes a purchase.

The staff here are as helpful and informative as they were in the Notting Hill branch and the prices are reasonable, given the quality.
It's a great place to buy unique and personal perfumes - you're much less likely to come across somebody else wearing the same fragrance. Having said that, Miller Harris scents seem to be getting more popular, so it may be time to add a personal consultation to my list for Santa this year.
