The Guinea Grill reviews
Absolutely amazing! The pub staff were charming and entertaining whilst the restaurant was sophisticated and an ideal way to spoil oneself with a superb meal. Definitely would recommend a trip to The Guinea.

An awful pub/restaurant (I won't credit it with the moniker 'gastropub' as it's not). The chips and vegetables are something you'd expect in a Wetherspoons - frozen chips bunged straight into a deep fat fryer with microwaved squishy veg. The decor is naff, the seats are cramped and the staff are rude beyond any comprehension (one of them spilt our wine over my plate and the table and then simply walked off). An enormous disappointment, although they have a very reasonable wine collection for such a small venue.

The Guinea should have a Blue Plaque outside it, proclaiming "Mornington Crescent was born here!", for this is where Graeme Garden, Bill Oddie and David Hatch conceived Radio 4's 'I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue'. Cheers, Guinea!

Legendary steak sarnies and even better steak and kidney pies. Oodles of atmosphere but very small, so you always eat standing up (my mum says it's not good for you).

What a find! 10 of us had lunch here last Friday and I can say that it was some of the best food we have ever had. This, along with fab service - Fareed was great fun - made it a top event. Highly recommended.
