Barrafina is a small but beautifully designed Spanish tapas restaurant and bar located in the heart of Soho. Owned by brothers Sam and Eddie Hart of celebrated Fino in Fitzrovia, Barrafina serves up authentic tapas dishes including platters of cold meats, fresh fish and shellfish and lamb cutlets complete with rich, flavourful sauces. Prices are higher than average but the ingredients and quality of food are simply outstanding. Seating is around the bar and the food is prepared in front of you. Barrafina is justifiably popular and doesn't take bookings, so turn up early or expect to queue.

Best tapas in London. No booking, so get there early or be prepared to queue. Recommended: chipirones (baby squid), tortilla and jamon.

Quite simply, very, very good tapas. Great seafood cooked on the plancha behind the bar. Razor clams were really excellent. Top notch, well kept jabugo ham. Ham croquetas are lovely.
Really great atmosphere, great wines and sherry. Hard to get a stool at the bar without a long wait.
