Sister spa of the highly rated May Fair Spa, East River is an elegant and contemporary space occupying an entire floor of the hotel with superb views over the Thames. Guests are invited to arrive an hour early to enjoy the sauna and steam rooms, before enjoying a wide range of treatments using Pervonia, Algotherm and Kimia products, followed by a spell in the stunning relaxation room with views of the river. The spa also incorporates a well equipped gym, a couples-only treatment room, and guest can also access a swimming pool in the adjacent building.

I booked my Swedish massage last minute, having found the write-up for this spa on Urban Path. I didn't have any specific expections, but if I had they would have all been met! It's understated luxury - professional staff and lovely touches (such as being served sobert following my relaxing massage, and the lovely fluffy towel and dressing gown provided in the lockers). Definitely worth checking out. Why not splash out on a cab, as it's a little walk from South Quay DLR.
