Simple:Spa reviews
I disagree with the last review. I recently went to the spa for a Simply Uplifted full body massage for 90 minutes. My therapist was very professional, and all the staff were lovely. OK it doesn't have a relaxation room, but my lovely treatment made up for that, and I like the fact you can have a very nice treatment during a lunch hour. I was made to feel very relaxed and was offered a herbal tea in reception, so I certainly wasn't rushed out! I even got a free product, so it was worth every penny. I have already re-booked!
by Spalover, 21 Jan 2008Got a massage there as a gift. Nothing special... or even approaching special. A far cry from a luxurious experience. As the reviewer below said, there is no real relaxing area which gives the place a very 'get in-get out' feeling. My massage wasn't terrible, but wasn't good either. For the same price you can go somewhere like Angel Therapy Rooms in Islington and get 10 times the quality and luxury. Don't bother with this place.
by smalik, 17 Jan 2008I work in the beauty industry and am lucky enough to visit spas. I was disappointed with Simple:Spa. Firstly, it's not a spa as there are no relaxing areas, it's just a salon where you have treatments. My facial should have lasted 1hr 20 mins, and in fact lasted 1 hr 5mins - not great when they are charging £90! The treatment itself was OK, not the best but enjoyable. Would I go there again? No way. If you want a really good place, go to the Mayfair Spa or In Harmony Spirit and Balance in Hampton Court.
by cocktail, 02 Jan 2008My workmates bought me a treatment at Simple Spa as I have been feeling very stressed lately. This place is a real find. I have sensitive skin and was nervous about having a facial, but my therapist was so caring and professional and my skin looked amazing afterwards! The products are so gentle - I even bought some, as they felt so calming. Also the service was the best I have received in a London spa. I have ordered my next lot of treatments, with my colleagues, already!
by LeighG, 22 May 2007This spa is a true gem in Covent Garden. My boyfriend earned major brownie points when he bought me a gift voucher for a Prescription Facial and a massage - it was heaven! The products were so gentle (I have reacted to things before), my therapist was very professional and definitely had healing hands. I have already told all my friends about it.
by Katie1, 22 May 2007I bought a voucher for my mum to have the Simply Heaven treatment - a massage on the warm water cushion with a facial. My mum has had quite a few treatments in her time and said that it was the most fantastic treatment she has ever had. I have tried a couple of the products she bought and they are so lovely that I have bought some for myself online... I'm hooked!
by Happygirl, 11 May 2007Came across Simple Spa by accident, and am so glad I did. Not only did I feel great after my facial and pedicure, but my skin looked amazing for months afterwards. I would recommend this place to everyone, it's wicked.
by yhogidee, 09 Apr 2007I had the Simply Heaven treatment - a massage and facial done on a cushion of warm water. The therapist was lovely, the treatment amazing. I went away relaxed and calm. I will definitely be back!
by spa convert, 22 Mar 2007Went to Simple Spa to get two treatments. The decor and atmosphere was great. The professionalism and service of the therapists was excellent. However, the skills of the technicians did not match the aforementioned, even though they were good compared to other London spas. Would definitely revisit though.
by milenitanyc (2 reviews), 01 Mar 2007Had a detox massage which knocked me out for 2 days - just what I needed! Therapist had lovely manners - calm, big smile, friendly. I wanted a firm massage and she had the pressure just right. I can't wait to return.
by Bea, 20 Feb 2007Visited here for the luxury pedicure. Therapist was excellent, very attentive, and treatment was the best pick-me-up after a long day shopping.
There were just two things that spoilt this experience slightly. Firstly, I was kept waiting for over 30 mins. However, staff were very apologetic and gave me a £30 voucher redeemable against one of their facials.
Secondly, I was charged incorrectly for the treatment. Upon advising the receptionist of this she went to refund me the difference only to charge me yet again. It was all sorted out in the end but did mar what was an excellent pedicure.
Conclusion: lovely staff, just need to pay more attention to what they are doing.
Have we missed a great spa in London? Let us know.
