Michelin Star Restaurants in London - 2010
Nahm reviews
From another Thai person, (who happens to have previously owned a successful Thai restaurant in the US for more than 12 years), the food was below average and the dishes are very random in taste and textures. The flavors seem to be overcompensating for the lack of ambiance and atmosphere. The flavors were too strong and did not bring out true signature Thai combinations of sweet, salty and sour. The soups had too many root flavors, masked by chillis, which was indicative of the several hours the soup was made before the dinner rush. The garnishes were a mixture of several random fruits and vegetable leaves that seemed to be thrown together to give the perception of the dishes being exotic and interesting.
The service was good up until the dining room started to fill up, by which time we never had a refill of water and had to ask multiple times for the bill. Overall, very disappointing and very overpriced.

Brilliant modern take on Thai-inspired food.
'Shorty 12345' seriously does not get it. Most ignorant, deluded and unsophisticated review I've read of anything anywhere in the world.

One of the most disappointing eateries I have ever been to in my entire life. The food was neither authentic Thai nor European Thai and was very average. We left several dishes uneaten. The staff, whilst nice, were over-attentive and the location of the restaurant is just off the lobby of a hotel, with no soul whatsoever. As for the desserts, absolutely revolting!

Wow. Wow. And more wow. This is Thai food at its best. I would never feel ashamed to take my Thai friends to dinner here. Expect strong flavours that explode in your mouth. Serving sizes were generous, and we were unable to finish all of the food in the set meal.

One of the best restaurants in London -- of any cuisine. The desserts are exquisite.

We visited Nahm on Friday 10th of December, and we were surprised. The food was excellent.
On Saturday we visited
Mango Tree, this restaurant was ok but definitely can't be compared to Nahm.

From a Thai... Even in Thailand I couldn't found a restaurant equal to Nahm - one which really represents the "Thai" taste. Some dishes on the menu are now rarely found not only in restaurants but homes also.

One of the few
Michelin starred Thai restaurants and deservedly so. The portions are not huge but the flavours are exquisite - leagues beyond most Thai food in London. Set menu's not a bad deal too.

Fantastic 18th century royal Thai unsurpassed as far as any Thai restaurant goes.
The elegence and oppulence of the plain dinning room only enhances the way the food is served - un-played-with and letting the flavour speak for itself. The service is attentive and discreet with a real knowledge and passion.
