Highgate Cemetery reviews
Wonderfully atmospheric place to unwind for a bit. Despite it being so well-known, I've rarely seen more than several other visitors each time I've been here, so it's very peaceful and not at all spooky (during the day!)

I was very young, but I remember the convoy of cars, and was close enough to actually shake hands with Yuri Gagarin when his car stopped at the foot of Highgate Hill for him to greet the crowd. Heady days indeed!
by Kosonoy, 23 Feb 2007The cemetery is wonderful but the experience of visiting is marred by the proprietors aggressive pursuit of donations (even after you have paid an entrance fee). It is a shame they have to do this.
