Natural History Museum reviews
I love the dinosaurs! If you go in the summer months, the Wildlife Garden is open in the grounds. It's a peaceful oasis where you can almost pretend you're in the countryside. The last time I went, they also had sheep! As with all museums, it's best to go during the week to avoid the crowds (although that's when you're also likely to bump into school groups).

I probably missed everything worth seeing. There were just too many screaming children about when I was there. That made us go for something to eat in the restaurant upstairs which was pretty sad and expensive.

I think it was the best museum that we've visited during our trip to London and the dinosaurs were the best.

Great exhibitions in a stunning building. The interior stone work is wonderful - there are lizards and monkeys carved into columns and lots of other such details.
It can get rather busy and some of the most in-demand exhibitions charge for entry and you may have to wait a while. This weekend we went to buy tickets for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition and at 3.30pm they only had tickets for 5pm and the exhibition was packed even then.
Great museum though.

Brilliant! Need two visits or a full day to see everything. Take a packed lunch as the food is quite expensive here.

My favourite building in London. The animated dinosaur exhibition with added sound effects is brilliant. Most kids seem to love it, although it might be a bit too life-like for easily scared adults ;-)
The current outdoor photography exhibition showing aerial views from around the world is stunning. Nice thing to do on a Sunday morning after brunch in South Ken.

What a great place. You'll remember all those wonderful science and geography lessons you had at school. Photosynthesis... the water cycle.... If you have kids or nieces and nephews then it really is a great day out. Most of the pieces are interactive as well as educational - which isn't a bad thing for some adults too!
