Toni & Guy (Hair Salon)

Severe Warning (T&G at Angel/Islington - senior stylists): They do what they want, no matter what has been agreed. I went patchy-blonde, which looks cheap. In addition, the stylist created something of a mushroom on my head. When I complained, they turned up the volume of the music. I was told the blonde would be darkened, so another 30 mins of waiting... and again a failure, of course! I was charged £118, felt completely worn out after all the anger, and very much in the mood to sue this arrogant and ignorant bunch of wannabe creatives.

Have been there many times and would agree with most of the comments: they are friendly, take time to listen and you won't come out with a disaster. But then, that's what one ought to expect from a £50 - £100 cut.
Head massage is great, but one time in three I get my hair shampooed by an assistant who's neither gentle nor well trained (water too hot, and they're rather rude as well).
With regard to techniques, I have experienced better styles at higher rates, it is as simple as that. Certainly Stuart is the best, but beware that the salon is 'proud' of hairstyles created for David Hasselhoff and Ivana Trump... They do get lots of ex-Toni & Guy clients who need a 'repair' cut, and certainly those are the very grateful customers.
