Hari's Hari's (Hair Salon)
02 March 2007

A reviewer below bemoans the fact that Hari doesn't wash or blow-dry hair himself. The reviewer is clearly bonkers and I don't know why you'd even want a famous stylist to wash your hair for you; this is basic division of labour stuff - let the stylist style and washer wash.

Anyway, I've been visiting Hari's for nearly 2 years now and I don't see Hari himself as I'm very happy with my stylist. I don't expect her to wash my hair - I expect her to cut my hair, and she does so perfectly, every time.

Great salon.

Beautiful dining room, great selection of wines and delicious food. Best restaurant in the area by some margin.

Attractive interior design but not a patch on Attica at its best - the gadgets and gizmos don't make up for a lack of vision.

Hush Hush (Restaurant / Restaurant)

The food in the upstairs restaurant at Hush is excellent and it's often not too difficult to book at short notice. Very good wine list too. Only eaten once downstairs and it was ok, but not outstanding.

Endless selection of beautiful clothes, presents and all kinds of things to brighten up the home. The shop itself is over the top in the best possible sense - gorgeous products everywhere.

Harvey Nichols Harvey Nichols (Department Store)

Some fair comments below but Harvey Nicks is still a great shop. They stock a huge range of fantastic clothing and there are several excellent concessions. The food market is one of the best places to shop for gourmet presents and the bar and restaurant are superb too. Can get a bit busy, especially if you choose to visit on a Saturday afternoon, but midweek it's fine.

Agree that the set menu represents great value and without a doubt the best food to be had in south London. Service is usually good and the sommelier is very helpful. Don't miss the desserts!

Great centre and teachers. Iyengar classes are justifiably popular and they also offer quite a few treatments such as reflexology and massage.
