Poste Mistress (Shoe Shop)

Love, love love this store. My absolute favourite shoe shop in London.
Les Trois Garcons (Restaurant)

I absolutely love L3G. It is by far one of my favourite restaurants, I was taken here on a date recently, and it didn't fail to impress.
The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic, and in all it was a truly magical evening. Definitely go to LL for drinks first, although be warned they do mix them rather strong.
The Engineer (Gastro Pub / Pub)

We go here quite often for business lunches, and the food is always delicious, and the service is good. Food is probably a bit on the pricey side, but definitely well worth it. The tequila-cured salmon blinis are superb!
Andrew Edmunds (Restaurant)

Delicious food, great service, excellent wine selection (if perhaps too much choice!) Rather unpretentious.
Grand Union (Gastro Pub / Restaurant / Pub)

Great for lazy Sunday afternoons with friends when they do a BBQ and jugs of Pimms. Can get pretty busy so not the place for a quiet meal on a Friday night.
Quo Vadis (Restaurant)

Food was delicious, wine was good. Not sure if the Damien Hirst art goes with the style of the restaurant, but maybe that's the point. Great if you're trying to impress or have Daddy's Gold Card, but not if you're on a budget.
Harlem (Diner)

Have been twice - once on a Saturday night, and once for a late weekend lunch. Shocking service and average food - don't really know what the fuss is all about. Had a good night in the bar downstairs, although the music was a little of the cheesy side.
Troubadour Cafe (Cafe)

This is a firm favourite, even if the food can be a little on the bland side. Really brilliant atmosphere, and wonderful in summer if you can get a table outside. Not too pricey and friendly staff.
Ottolenghi (Delicatessen / Cafe)

The food is simply delicious. Rather busy on the weekends, so almost impossible to get a seat. Definitely try their cakes and sweets, they are amazing.
The Oak (Gastro Pub)

Really good (if a little overpriced) pizzas, and nice atmosphere, but only if the waiters happen to not be having an argument. Don't go if you're planning on just having drinks or not all of you are eating, as the staff get a little snooty and make you feel unwelcome.
The Cumberland Arms (Gastro Pub)

This pub is a real gem! The food is always great, the staff are always friendly, and I've never had an unenjoyable evening there! It's a great local and very unpretentious.
Eclipse (Bar)
16 February 2005
Even though the bar was empty, we still couldn't take a seat downstairs without signing up for table service - with a minimum spend of £25 a head at the tables it was a little bit pointless as we weren't out to drink heavily. The staff were unfriendly, and were more interested in doing their own shots behind the bar than serving (overpriced) drinks. Won't be going back in a hurry.
