Battersea Park (Park)
02 September 2009
Battersea Park is very good. Its location by the Thames and convenient proximity to Chelsea, means that the park is easily accessed, yet has a lovely rural feel. It is vast. The lake is well worth a visit, where you can practise your peddle-boating skills (or those more stronger mortals might be tempted by the rowing boats - I was once!).
The park is also a favourite for cyclists, runners and those looking to practise their roller-skating moves (if that's you, make sure you are protected - falling on your knees isn't enjoyable...).
Well worth a visit whilst in central London, and with trendy Kings Road and Sloane Square so nearby, Battersea Park can easily be coupled with other London activities. Offers good value for money.
Richmond Park (Park)
02 September 2009
Richmond Park is an outstanding place to visit. As London's biggest park, it will keep you and the family busy for the whole day, stretching as it does from Roehampton down to Kingston and Richmond. I strongly recommend exploring the park by bike - these are available to hire conveniently by the Roehampton Gate, although at about £6 per hour, is it not that cheap. Make sure you wear your helmet, as some of the hills descend quickly and steeply!
The park provides very good value for money overall, and is popular with kite gliders and cyclists alike, as well as those looking to sunbathe in the summer months. Richmond Park lake provides a very good spot in which to relax and maybe enjoy a picnic. Be aware of the resident wild deer that reside in the park! Many choose to bird-watch here. The park is extremely well-managed.
Overall, Richmond Park provides an excellent day out in a luscious and awe-inspiring environment. I strongly recommend a visit.
Science Museum (Museum / Tourist Attraction)
17 April 2009
The Science Museum is a very good tourist attraction, which provides customers with good value for money. The organisation of the various exhibits and rooms adds favourably to the overall customer experience. Staff are friendly and helpful, overall. The Science Museum is very well-managed and is well placed to improve even further in the future.
British Museum (Museum / Tourist Attraction)
17 April 2009
This is a good tourist attraction which offers good value for money. The organisation of the education centre is particularly useful for teachers. Staff are friendly and helpful, overall. The atrium provides a very good meeting point. The quality of exhibitions varies, but is never below satisfactory. This tourist attraction is well-managed and customers agree.
Hampton Court Palace (Park / Tourist Attraction)
13 April 2009
Hampton Court Palace is a very good attraction. It provides good value for money. This historic royal palace is easily accessed by boat, as many foot passengers opt for. The famous maze provides users with a fascinating experience that is uncommon to many other attractions. Attractively located by the Thames yet in Surrey, visitors can rely on an all-round good experience.
Mint Leaf (Restaurant / Restaurant)
13 April 2009
Mint Leaf is an effective restaurant which provides good value for money. The decor, choice of wide-ranging options on the menu, friendly and effective staff, all result in a good customer experience. Management of the restaurant is very good. As a result, customers enjoy their eating experience. The restaurant also boasts a good range of drinks and wines. The Mint Leaf is well placed to continue to provide a good quality experience for visitors.
Ice Bar (Bar)
12 April 2009
This is a good bar that provides adequate value for money. The strength of the bar lies in its uniqueness. The management quite rightly market the Ice Bar very well, and this results in a well-frequented resource. Drinks are expensive, as is admission. Overall, users enjoy the experience of a visit to the Ice Bar, albeit not too often.
The Gun (Gastro Pub)
12 April 2009
This is a very good pub. The Gun is situated in an enviable position, in the east end of London, overlooking the Thames and the 02 Arena. From the 'living room' or the excellent riverside terrace, you can enjoy wonderful river views, capturing as it does the key parts of east and south London. Toilets are sound.
The Gun provides satisfactory value for money. Drinks and food are above the local and national average, but the very good setting and very good clientele means users enjoy a worthwhile experience.
Fabric (Club)
26 November 2005
Fabric is a good nightclub with some very good features, including the interior of the building and the general decor.
Prices of drinks are in line with the London average and with a fairly pricey admission fee, the venue offers sound value for money. There are a range of good rooms to visit throughout the night playing different genres of music, so variety is very well catered for. Cleanliness is good and toilets are satisfactory. Location is sound, as it is just away from the busy West End area. Well worth a visit.
DTPM on a Sunday night at Fabric is very popular and has a great atmosphere.
Sanderson (Hotel)
26 November 2005
The Sanderson bar is a very good venue with some outstanding features. Customer service is very efficient and clientele are ok. It's very clean and the atmosphere's good. Given the price of drinks, The Sanderson's Long Bar offers satisfactory value for money in a welcoming and classy environment. I recommend a visit.
