Baltic (Fish Restaurant / Restaurant)
17 April 2008
Stodgy food. No windows. Office tarts and sales boys mostly.
Nobu Berkeley (Restaurant)
17 April 2008
I agree with the comments about the bar... it is like a cruise ship. But the food is good.
Sea Cow (Fish and Chips Shop / Fishmongers)
17 April 2008
It is expensive compared to a high-street chippy, but the quality is way better (you get what you pay for). I know lots of people who go regularly.
South London Gallery (Public Art Gallery)
15 August 2005
This place is great - lots of different artists and styles on show here. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Design Museum (Museum / Tourist Attraction)
22 April 2004
About as funky as a museum can be. Great location by the river and Tower Bridge.
St Paul's Cathedral (Tourist Attraction)
22 April 2004
What a great building!
British Museum (Museum / Tourist Attraction)
22 April 2004
Yeah, it's the kind place American tourists like to go.
The reading room in the middle of the courtyard is amazing... has anyone ever actually been past the ancient Egypt section? What's it like?
Natural History Museum (Museum / Tourist Attraction)
22 April 2004
Great museum, great dinosaurs (scary tho).
Greenwich Park (Park)
22 April 2004
Great park, great views and only a short walk down to river. It's worth checking out the Royal Observatory and old-fashioned clocks if you get time.
Shakespeare's Globe (Theatre / Tourist Attraction)
22 April 2004
I love this theatre. It has a great vibe with all the old-fashioned design n' stuff.
Best to get a seat and a cushion if you want to be comfortable.
Lamb & Flag (Pub)
10 March 2004
No doubt, Lamb & Flag is a Covent Garden landmark, even if it is a little hard to find the first time.
Vegetarians beware -- they do a very funky (read smelly) full-english roast dinner here on Sundays.

Borough Market (Food Market)
08 March 2004
The best thing about Borough Market is the top quality food stalls, but as well as picking up ingredients for a flashy dinner party, it's worth checking in at the local bars and cafes to soak up the buzz.
Combine it with a walk down the Thames to the Tate Modern Art Gallery, or the Design Museum in the other direction, for a fun, yet cultural, Saturday afternoon.
I rate this place with a big, fat 5.
Fish! (Fish Restaurant)
08 March 2004
Should be called "Fish! or F*ck Off!" There's better food stops in this area... try the nearby Petit Robert (classic French) or the Ayverdic Indian.
The Eagle (Gastro Pub / Pub)
08 March 2004
One of the orginal gastro pubs. Anycase, it's a fun bar that isn't tooooo stuck up.
The theatrical cooks are great entertainment. Each time I've been most bar-goers went for the grilled sardines.
The Anchor (Pub)
08 March 2004
There aren't many beer stops on this stretch of river -- if that's any kind of recommendation!
The Anchor is often swamped by tourists in the summer. And watch out for the grouchy FT hacks from the nearby office block. You have been warned.
I prefer The Globe (5 mins walk away in Borough Market). Or if you've got the dosh, Vinopolis across the street is wayyy classier.
Bluu (Bar)
08 March 2004
This is a big, bad (in a nice way) Shoreditch bar. Fun at the weekend.
