Bacchus (Restaurant)
16 February 2007
Bacchus is fun. The chef is trying to present the future of dining - not in the amazing 'wow' kind of way of somewhere like The Fat Duck, but more in terms of what innovations from places like El Bulli will make to middle road dining.
The food is certainly interesting, but maybe not quite there yet. The atmopshere, quality, and service were all good.

There are by far the best chocolates that I've tasted so far in London. His flavour combinations are cutting edge but at the same time not overpowering. If you are there in winter, the hot chocolate is a must.
Busaba Eathai (Restaurant)

As some of you have noticed, it's not Thai food as it's traditionally served. But that doesn't mean it's not fun and tasty. I always enjoy going here for a Busaba experience. There is better Thai food elsewhere if that's what you want. I just consider this another variation of the Wagamama concept.
Borough Market (Food Market)

Majorly over hyped market that seems to be focused more on the tourist than the real foodie. If you've got nothing else to do, pop in, but expect to fight your way past people who are just looking and wouldn't know what quality was if it fell on them.
Electric Cinema (Cinema)

A fantastic restaurant - absolutely magical! Everything about this place was wonderful, the atmosphere, the food, the wine, the service, the music - I think the best restaurant I have ever been too!
Nahm (Restaurant)

Wow. Wow. And more wow. This is Thai food at its best. I would never feel ashamed to take my Thai friends to dinner here. Expect strong flavours that explode in your mouth. Serving sizes were generous, and we were unable to finish all of the food in the set meal.
Hamburger Union (Diner)

Whilst not amazing, it was fun. The burgers were a little pricey for their simplicity. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

Amazing tea. Amazing atmosphere. Excellent service. I felt the kitchen let things down, but maybe they were having an off day. I've certainly eaten better dim sum for less money - but then again what do you expect for London? My future visits will be upstairs, but no doubt I will wander downstairs again.
