Bar Italia (Cafe)

Never had better coffee.
The Organic Grocer (Organic Food Shop)

I'd shop there all the time if it was a little less expensive.
Space.NK (Cosmetics Shop)

Brilliantly helpful staff. Shame they don't do MODEL CO. make-up any more.
Harrods (Department Store / General Sports Shop / Food Hall)

Brilliant, beautiful food hall. I couldn't believe it though when a member of staff started arguing with me over my choice of biscuits! She was ignorant and rude. I left with a bad taste in my mouth.
Selfridges (Department Store / Lingerie Shop / General Sports Shop / Food Hall)

I have been charged 99p, £1.89 and £2.89 for the same product on three different occasions over a month period. I have also bought things that have been marked up as less than I was charged for them. It drives me crazy! The cheese selection is wonderful though.
Hakkasan (Restaurant / Restaurant)

Overall quite an experience, so it's definitely worth going at least once to check it out. The decor is incredible, as is the food. On the down side though, the attitude of some of the staff could be much improved, as could the service, and I'd say it's a little expensive for what it is.

Brilliant in every way. Fabulous foods - try the 'Hot & Sour Olives', they're amazing! The chocolates are divine. Staff are great and friendly too. I love this place!
Ping Pong (Restaurant)

I have been often (mainly to Great Marlborough St and Marylebone). The best thing about it is the jasmine tea (the flower bulb slowly opening in the hot water looks gorgeous). I think the food is quite average and a little overpriced for dim sum of this standard. After a few visits the menu is easily tired out.

Good food, good service. The Mac & Cheese is HUGE! The atmosphere is good, day or evening. A great choice if you fancy a more casual dining experience.
The Ivy (Restaurant)

Went for the 'set lunch' on Sunday (been 3 times previously). The food was good and the price was right. Staff were friendly too. Shame the roast potatoes weren't crunchier - but you can't have it all! The room is so beautiful. It is an experience and well worth the wait for a table. A really nice way to spend any evening or a Sunday.
Fresh and Wild (Organic Food Shop)

Great selection of food and vitamins. However, the last two times I was served by someone who was particularly unhelpful and even rude. I'll be shopping elsewhere next time.
Gerry's (Spirits Shop)

Incredible choice!
Cipriani (Restaurant)

Good food (probably the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten).
Mews (Restaurant)

I absolutely love the place. The staff are charming, the service great, the cuisine divine. The setting is spacious, airy and enchanting. Try eating from the bar menu (in the courtyard) too. I'd recommend checking out the ground floor bar and the cosy club in the basement. This is just what we needed in Mayfair, and it's now my favourite.
The Engineer (Gastro Pub / Pub)

After years of recommendations, I finally got around to dinner at the Engineer. I went with with a reasonable-sized group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was incredible and the service was great. Even though the staff were clearly very busy, nothing was too much trouble. This is one rare time when I would actually have been happy to pay more for such an ace, relaxed dining experience. Incredibly reasonable, highly recommended and my new regular. A real pleasure!
Number 11 Cadogan Gardens (Hotel)

Fabulous hotel. Gorgeous, cute rooms. I thoroughly recommend it. I love the idea of the 'Honor bar' - it's so quaint.
Vintage House (Spirits Shop)

Really helpful staff, great products. Their 'own' malt whisky is gorgeous.
Allens Butchers (Butcher)

Consistently good. The quality of the meat and poultry is incredible. Well worth the queue at Christmas time!
Le Palais du Jardin (Restaurant)

I went on my birthday and had a truly wonderful and memorable lunch. We actually stayed there until 5pm. Friends joined us throughout our visit and the staff were polite. I will be going back - I love it.
Elemis Day Spa (Spa)
01 April 2007
As a beauty professional, I can thoroughly recommend this intimate spa. I had the 'Absolute Spa Ritual' (full body massage and facial). My therapist was brilliant. I left feeling totally de-stressed and uplifted. I received four compliments on my 'radiant' skin over the next two days. The treatments at Elemis are not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. This experience was more enjoyable than most other treatments I have had and certainly more effective. What a blissful way to spend an afternoon.
