I've had my eyebrows done at the Shavata studio, which was great. No problem with red patches, so happy with this. However, I then enquired about Yuko hair straightening, and I found the guy who does Yuko (Daniel, I think) to be really quite dismissive and not friendly at all. It was almost like he couldn't be bothered... They did make me wait a while for my eyebrows as well, despite having booked an appointment.

Yes the decor is fab, but the haircuts are impossible to maintain, and they didn't really listen to what I wanted. I came out with a slightly assymetric haircut which doesn't suit my face at all!

I spent a long time researching hairdressers on UrbanPath, as I am looking for a hairdresser to do my hair and make-up for my wedding. It became apparent from the reviews left here that Mathew has the skill to do both to an amazing standard.

I was a bit unsure of going to a Mayfair salon as I haven't been to one before, and was worried that the staff might be a bit snooty when I showed them my wedding dress, but the delightful thing is that the salon is small and intimate and the staff are absolutely friendly and non-threatening. I was delighted with my trial hair and make-up, and cannot wait until the actual day. I look forward to returning to Mathew Alexander soon. Definitely worth the money.
