Great looking dining room and decor in a impressive building. Food was fairly good but not spectacular. Didn't check out the bar or other areas but will do so on next visit.

In a different league to most restaurants in Chinatown, and indeed most of the Chinese restaurants I've eaten at anywhere in the world. Serious cooking (and prices to match) and friendly, efficient service. Definitely worth checking out for a treat.

Nobu Berkeley (Restaurant)
24 August 2005
Huge restaurant, impressive design and a bit less formal than Nobu in Park Lane. Staff are still all very efficient and the food's just as good (and pretty much the same) as any other Nobu. Still - it's a great formula and I'll be back, especially as there's no need to book, so it's much easier to eat at than Park Lane.
Maze (Restaurant)
01 August 2005
Really enjoyed our visit to Maze. Superb and imaginative food served in small tapas size portions which cost around £5 to £7 each. You order about 6 per person which arrive gradually. We had 4 main dishes and 2 desserts each, though you could manage with 1 less of each if you're not too hungry.
The dishes vary from tasty but relatively conventional to unusual borderline molecular gastronomy stuff. But even the more experimental dishes still make sense and taste great, so you don't get the impression that the chef is just messing around with food "because he can".
Highly recommended.
Electric Cinema (Cinema)

Get a few beers and snacks from the bar and one of the sofas at the back with a friend for the best cinema-going experience in the UK. Love it.
