Fendi (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop)
14 September 2006
Men's collection overdesigned and overpriced. Accessories hyper-tacky (too many Fs). Add the extra and go down the street to Bottega.
Kilgour French Stanbury (Men's Tailor)
16 August 2006
Great cuts for stockier men. Fairly conservative but younger than most on the row.
Ozwald Boateng (Men's Tailor)
16 August 2006
Flashy suits for the young and thin - pretty much everything the row isn't. More fashion than classic. I'd stick to my father's tailor at Huntsman.
Burberry (Designer Shop / Children's Clothing Shop / Handbag Shop / Menswear Shop)
06 May 2006
The Prosum men's line is excellent but the London stores simply don't carry enough of the pieces-the London line is pretty awful (unless you stick to the check as a trench lining).
Christian Dior (Designer Shop)
06 May 2006
Dior has sunk to new depths-very dissapointing.
Miu Miu (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop)
06 May 2006
This store never seems to carry enough stock (Selfridges always has a better selection), and they stopped carrying menswear, so a no from me... Some surprisingly good window displays though.
Dover Street Market (Designer Shop)

Fashion victim central- when you see all the Comme des Garcons lines together you realise how very 'blah' it has all become.
Prada (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop / Menswear Shop)

Alexander McQueen (Designer Shop / Menswear Shop)
30 April 2006
The menswear is more wearable than expected. And I have to agree about the Russian sales assistant, she managed to find and transfer the coat I wanted in a matter of days.
Chanel (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop)
30 April 2006
I've frequented the Bond street store and the concession in Harrods and found the service poor - the staff were rude and ill-informed. Chanel's standards have slipped of late.
Louis Vuitton (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop)
30 April 2006
Menswear would be acceptable if they removed the logos. And the quality of the bags are questionable (just compare their suitcases with Goyard). The staff are better than average though.
Fortnum and Mason (Department Store / Food Hall)
23 April 2006
The best perfume department in London- especially the Clive Christian counter. The rest of the store is awful though.
Harvey Nichols (Department Store)
23 April 2006
Despite the menswear department carrying niche labels such as Thom Browne and Carpe Diem, there seems to be no editing in what they buy in.
Most of the stock wouldn't sell at 70% off. Regarding the staff-generally poor with hardly any product knowledge and attitude.
And they also stopped stocking Missoni and YSL Rive Gauche- so a big no-no from me..
Nicole Farhi Menswear (Menswear Shop)
12 March 2006
I have to agree with the previous reviewer referring to the staff as vague - Nicole Farhi menswear has slipped.
Matches (Designer Shop / Menswear Shop)
12 March 2006
I'm a recent convert to Matches and would recommend them - they stock the choice quality pieces from each collection. But I could do without that annoying 'would you like a drink' as soon as you enter the shop.
