Kikuchi (Restaurant)

Overall, good quality food. Sashimi and sushi was very fresh. And I do love the dated decor - it's not tacky but unpretentious and traditional. Prices were a bit higher than in comparable restaurants though, and there is no tallied bill so you don't know what you are paying for. 3.5 stars.

The food was good. I must admit, I expected to pay more so was pleasantly surprised. The interior design felt like I was on some luxury cruise ship - not my kind of dining atmosphere.

Excellent. Great dining atmosphere. On the rare occasion, the sashimi is not as fresh as it could be, but overall great food and variety.
Umu (Restaurant)

A bit disappointing. We felt that a lot of the dishes were trying to be something modern and it somehow lost the authenticity and simplicity of Japanese food. You can get contemporary fusion right, but this was not it for us. Beautiful interiors though.

Probably the best Japanese I have had in London. Great atmosphere, and what a difference freshly-ground wasabi makes!

Great massage therapies in very tranquil surroundings. Really felt like I was floating on air after the treatment. Definitely recommend.

Overall it wasn't bad but I found the staff to be rather poor. The treatment was fine but I have tried other spas of a similar calibre which were more rewarding and which offered a more pleasant environment.
