Pitch up at this wonderful pub with the Sunday papers, order a Bloody Mary, and chill out for the entire afternoon! A welcoming, cosy place combining a modern pared back feel with original Victorian bar decor. The staff are wonderful. The menu is reasonably priced, offering such delights as calf's brains, through to a moreish divine fish stew. 10 out of 10.

I love, love, love Bar Italia. This is THE place to have coffee in Soho, whether it be the first cup of the day as wonderful Soho is waking up for another working day and the lucky ones are making their way home after a night on the town, or the last cup of the night to sober up or kick start the night! The crowd is always fascinating. If I go alone I always end up having a life-enriching conversation with someone! You can find better quality coffee in Soho; however, you can't beat the atmosphere here.

Cute boys serving fabulous fish and seafood. What more can one ask for? The quality of the produce and the service is excellent.

I agree that the service and quality has gone downhill. I visited Pat Val yesterday for the first time in one year. Prior to this I used to go at least once a week. I asked for an egg white omelette. The waitress told me that this was impossible. Why?!!! Two weeks prior I ordered the same at Hong Kong airport at 6:30am and it was served with no problem. It is a great shame that a Soho institution has lost its way.

This branch has gone down hill in the past few months. It used to be a wonderfully pleasant place offering good food, good service, and good value. Most recently the service had been dreadful. On Christmas Eve my partner and I arrived for lunch. We waited for almost 10 minutes at the entrance before deciding to walk out as not one member of staff greeted us. The week before I asked the waiter for cutlery and was told to get it from another table!! I will never visit this branch again.
