Dorchester (Hotel)
28 August 2008
Even for those who live in London, the Dorchester is the place to be. Such a great hotel and always goes down a treat.
John Frieda (Hair Salon)
28 August 2008
Such an awful salon. I suggest going to Nicky Clarke if you want a decent haircut.
Nobu Berkeley (Restaurant)
27 August 2008
Love it here. I booked using my American Express black card concierge and they gave me the best table in the house.
The Wolseley (Restaurant)
27 August 2008
My favourite place for breakfast in the world! I love it - staff are so nice and it's just great.
Dolce & Gabbana (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop / Menswear Shop)
27 August 2008
Staff look at you like you're dirt and speak to you as if you're stupid.
D&G (Designer Shop)
27 August 2008
Best shop in London.
Louis Vuitton (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop)
27 August 2008
Amazing! I went in thinking I'd never be able to afford anything, but one of the sales assistants recommended the Small Functional Agenda Binded Address Book, which was £7 - a lovely piece of luxury or stocking filler.
Dior (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop)
27 August 2008
Lovely kind staff, and great pieces, but I find you have to ask for help as they don't offer. Also, the best stuff is not actually out on display, you have to ask for it.
Chanel (Designer Shop)
27 August 2008
Amazing clothes! However, staff look you up and down and act as if they can afford Chanel themselves - very snobbish.
Mont Blanc (Stationers)
27 August 2008
Staff are great and do their best to help. Worth a visit.
Prada (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop / Menswear Shop)
27 August 2008
I love this shop! They always listen and do their best to help. I always walk out feeling pleased.
Gucci (Designer Shop / Handbag Shop / Menswear Shop)
27 August 2008
The staff are just rude and don't care - a shame, because they have some lovely pieces. Go to Gucci in Harrods, it's much better.
Selfridges (Department Store / Lingerie Shop / General Sports Shop / Food Hall)
27 August 2008
I think Selfridges has just lost its touch completely. Staff are rude, and when buying from there it just doesn't feel special. The car park is cheap though.
Harrods (Department Store / General Sports Shop / Food Hall)
27 August 2008
I only go to Harrods now to get Harrods points (the staff at Gucci here love me). However, I've noticed that if you're not buying goods from concessions of brands themselves you're paying a lot more than you should. I bought a D&G t-shirt for £50, only to find that at the actual D&G store it was only £35.
Ladurée (Cafe)
27 August 2008
I love Laduree at Harrods and think the service is great! I often go in and they recognise me now. It's a great place.
Nicky Clarke (Hair Salon)
23 May 2008
I visited the salon again yesterday. I've started to become one of Craig's regulars. I hear he does Lesley Clarke's hair (Nicky's ex), so he must be good.
Fab salon, definitely worth going. The juniors are great, although some are a bit young. Whilst they charge for food and drink, I must say the meal I had was exquisite and much cheaper than any restaurant in the area. Stylist-wise, I'd recommend either Craig (who's £75, affordable) or Joseph or Lewis (both £120-£130). I've not seen Nicky, he's just too expensive.
