Elemis Day Spa (Spa)

Lovely little spa, if you can call it that. I'm not sure you can, as it's really just a small building with half a dozen treatment rooms. That aside, the facial (Japanese Silk) was very good, the therapist informative, and no hard sell on the products. The staff were very attentive and the service excellent. I would say the facial was overpriced though, and I am not convinced by the 'day spa' label. Would you really be able to spend a day here?

Oh dear. Booked ages in advance. Turned up bang on time. Waited half an hour, with not even a glass of water or a "sorry" offered. Then told I hadn't been booked in and the stylist had actually been waiting for me. What a waste of a precious evening. Poor service personified. And barely an apology.

Oh dear. Booked a pedicure here, for myself and a friend. Specified when booking that we wished to sit together. Arrived. Treated with utter contempt. Told we couldn't sit together as a therapist was off sick. Didn't see what difference that made. We were spoken to as if we were surplus to requirements, and had to call the manager when they refused to guarantee that my credit card wouldn't be charged (when we declined the treatments). Will not go back.

Had a good facial here, very relaxing, nice facilities. The only downside was that we were forced to pay first so that they could cash up, and I felt this was unprofessional.
