Really enjoyed it here. Food was good (macaroni cheese was very good, as was the burger; highlight was the chicken casserole though, which was basically a whole chicken in a small cauldron...) and service was OK (could be a bit less relaxed in their attitudes). Price for the location and standard of food is very reasonable.

Always ask for a non-smoking table, as this ensures you are nearer the front of the restaurant where there is a nice vibe about the place. If you get stuck in the back you might as well be at a bankers' convention.

Very good Chinese seafood (coming from a Chinese person). Don't miss out on the Lobster and Yee Mein. Other dishes are pretty average. Decor is also poor, although service is pretty attentive.

This place was an unexpected delight. Three courses for £35 and a very reasonably-priced wine list, along with excellent service and food, made for a truly gastronomic experience. The pasta is cooked to perfection, as are their meat dishes. Forget trying to have pudding if you've had the pasta as a starter... My only gripe was that it was a bit quiet (which isn't always a bad thing).

I have been here twice and, being Chinese, I can vouch that the food is poor. Granted the Peking Duck was nicely roasted and attentively carved, but for £xx, having a tiny bowl of soup and a take-away style noodles was certainly far from value for money. Service the second time wasn't too good either, as we were sat diagonally opposite the reception desk in the small room off to the side. It's generally hard to get noticed there. To conclude... if you want proper Chinese, go somewhere else.
