I was really looking forward to Blakes. Dear reader, beware... Unless you are Madonna, you will be given a teeny tiny room in need of repairs, with peeling paint, dust, and - the biggest shock of all - a lime green 'Glade' in the bathroom! There's more - the beautiful drapes were stained, the 'With compliments' tray was far from complimentary, the dressing gowns were threadbare and the pushy porter obsessed with tips!

I wanted it to be SO special; it was not. More like an upmarket B&B in need of drastic renovation. Suggest Malmaison in Charterhouse Square if you like 'boutique'.

I have tried noted 'others' but returned to Moyses Stevens. Simply the best.
